Another sprint tri completed this morning✔ #qldtriathlonseries at #caloundra . The swim was awful. I was feeling maybe a little over confident and started in the middle, at the front of the deep water start. Not a good idea in a narrow channel… I got boxed in and started to feel very anxious as I got swam over and knocked around very quickly. However, I stopped , swam out to the side, a way from the crowd and regained my calm. As it was very windy, it was very messy against the wind current. The good news, once I had my space again, I felt confident and finished strong. 🏊‍♀️ The ride was again very crowded but fast. A constant cross breeze , very gusty, had me staying very focused to stay upright, no time at all on my tribars. Loved the ride, and had the fastest bikesplit in my AG. 🚴‍♀️ The run was great. After only 1 week of guidance from my coach @emma_quinn_88 I could already feel the difference. All I had in my head was to stay stronger the last 2 kms. And I did!! My average pace had improved by 20s / min!! And I felt a lot fresher going into the run than normal!!
