Danielle ‘Dani’ King MBE (born 21 November 1990) is an English track cyclist. King is a three time world champion in the women’s team pursuit, competing for the winning Great Britain team at the 2011 World Championships.
Cardiff-based King, originally from Hampshire, decided in 2014 October to switch from track to road cycling to ride full-time for team Wiggle Honda.
After, suffered eight broken ribs and a collapsed lung while on a regular training route in south Wales.
The 24-year-old was in intensive care for two days and in hospital for 10. “in so much pain, I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t cry,” after a crash she feared would end her career.
